CAPTURING CHARACTER
In order to achieve ‘Capturing Character Through Portraiture’, I explored different types of people, experimenting with people with different personalities and physical characteristics. I tried out different media and techniques in order to capture their characters, I was inspired by many different artists, who led me to develop my ideas further.

Influenced by Fabio Baggio I explored line to create facial structures and use line to suggest shapes and figures.

Influenced by Dad Weiers I explored emphasis features of portraits, to create almost charyactatures, working with colour also to create inhuman-like portraits.

Influenced by Chari Peak I explored colour and mixed media, with female form.

YOFUKURO
After experimenting with different media and styles of art, to develop further I chose to focus on a specific artist, who I can take more inspiration from. Yofukuro is a japans brother duo, Sachii and Daeisi Terazonno. I take inspiration from their colour pallet, subject matter and techniques.
FRANCIS BACON
Later on in my project, I discovered Francis Bacon influenced Yofukuro. I too, also took inspiration from Francis Bacon, more specifically his work with the pope. I really enjoyed the lines created in the background.
